The Gloucester nickel bedstead offers 2” side posts, solid brass top caps finished in polished nickel, and 3.5” finials which complements the slimline nickel coated brass 1” internal frame. A classic case of simple is beautiful.

Hand cast at our Cornwall foundry and made with all the traditional fixings you would expect from an authentic re-production, the Gloucester in nickel is a fine example of a victorian metal bed frame.
The Gloucester can be manufactured as a bedstead, bed surround, headboard, or as a bedstead with no foot end, or a four-poster option - We cast our beds to exacting standards using time-honoured skills and craftsmanship.

Cornish beds are handmade in four standard sizes; single 3ft (90cm wide), double 4'6" (135cm wide), king size 5ft (150cm wide) and super king size 6ft (180cm wide).
The standard lengths for single and double bed is 6'3" king size and super king size beds are 6'6" in length.

Why Polished Nickel?
Polished nickel is the most luxurious metal finish we offer. Born out of solid brass tubes and finials, the beds are then nickel platted for the cooling, regal look.

We complement our handcrafted metal beds with a collection of natural mattresses that are all made by hand in Devon by our sister company, Naturalmat. The mattresses are a perfect fit for our beds, and cover all budgets.
Our mattresses are made by hand in a solar-powered Devon workshop with natural & organic fibres. Better for you, and the planet.
