All our colours are applied to the handcast metal frames using a process called powdercoating.
Powdercoating, as a process, was invented in 1945 and since then it has transformed metal bed making - making the glorious colours last even longer, without chipping or cracking.
The colour is sprayed onto the cleaned metal in a powder form that is then cured in an oven-like powdercoating plant at high temperature for an even and extremely hard-wearing finish. Unlike traditional paint, powder coating produces a smooth and even finish without minor imperfections common with traditional paint.
