The Cotswold displays extraordinary attention to detail, recreating favoured intricacies. This breath-taking bedstead offers 2” side posts with solid brass top caps and brass balls.
The Cotswold bed is designed with slightly thicker horizontal and vertical inner frame tube than most of our beds, thus displaying a substantial bedroom presence. This Cotswold bedstead could belong in a French country house but equally look very at home in more eclectic surroundings. A true work of art.
Hand cast at our Cornwall foundry and made with all the traditional fixings you would expect from an authentic re-production.
The Cotswold can be manufactured as a bedstead, bed surround, headboard, four-poster bed or as a bedstead with no foot end. You can order your Cotswold in any of our 13 colour options or in any colour not shown starting from an extra £100.
We cast our beds to exacting standards using time-honoured skills and craftsmanship. Every bed is made individually to order, numbered, and signed off by one of our craftsmen. We had a lovely pine slatted king size bed , however when we moved home it didn’t really fit the bedroom.
Because of some fitted wardrobes we required a slightly shorter bed frame , still keeping the king size width.
Having researched many companies, it wasn’t until we found Cornish Bed Company that they were able to supply our request.
The quality of our Cotswolds Bed is amazing and the service is equally great.
If you are looking for a cast iron bed frame, you would have to go a long way to find better.

Cornish beds are handmade in four standard sizes; single 3ft (90cm wide), double 4'6" (135cm wide), king size 5ft (150cm wide) and super king size 6ft (180cm wide).
The standard lengths for single and double bed is 6'3" king size and super king size beds are 6'6" in length.

Natural Mattresses
We complement our handcrafted metal beds with a collection of natural mattresses that are all made by hand in Devon by our sister company, Naturalmat. The mattresses are a perfect fit for our beds, and cover all budgets.
Our mattresses are made by hand in a solar-powered Devon workshop with natural & organic fibres. Better for you, and the planet.
“Certainly the best bed / mattress we've ever bought. We been looking at these beds for some years. After moving to a 'new' house which needed a lot of work doing to it, we made the decision to buy a bed from The Cornish Bed Company - the plan was that the bed would help us sleep through the trauma of renovating the house. After viewing online and narrowing our choices, we visited the showroom for a chat and some advice - extremely friendly and helpful staff and absolutely no pressure to buy. We've had our bed, mattress and mattress topper (be stupid not to if you're going to invest in the bed) for about three months now - and it is excellent.
