Offering 2” side posts, exceptional strong framework including our signature knuckle joint which is everlasting.
The bedstead is then softened with white crackle finish ceramics which are hand-spun into its brass fixing with an ornate lower brass petal.
The Abingdon is a fine example of a victorian metal bed frame and can be manufactured as a bedstead, bed surround, headboard, four-poster bed, or as a bedstead with no foot end. You can order your Abingdon in any of our favourite 13 colour options or in any colour not shown. Additional colour charges may apply, starting from £100.00. We cast our beds to exacting standards using time-honoured skills and craftsmanship.
Hand cast at our Cornwall foundry and made with all the traditional fixings you would expect from an authentic re-production.
Cornish beds are handmade in four standard sizes; single 3ft (90cm wide), double 4'6" (135cm wide), king size 5ft (150cm wide) and super king size 6ft (180cm wide).
The standard lengths for single and double bed is 6'3" king size and super king size beds are 6'6" in length.

Well what can I say, not only do the Cornish make tasty pasties but great beds as well, so much so that I haven't been able to get out of it and subsequently have lost my job, income and my girlfriend is now 3months pregnant...
But on a more positive note I have had a lot of time to admire the build quality and attention to detail, glad I went for the Abingdon it has such a handsome stance, its not your best seller for no good reason.
My racing green spray job is flawless and has been applied with love and a skilled technique, it even matches the colour of my new Pro~Ject turntable, not a coincidence though.
I would definitely recommend this bed, its not cheap but if you get her in the sale you will have a bargain and a bed for life.

All our cast beds, daybeds, benches, footstools and headboards are powder coated in the foundry by us, for a long lasting and robust finish in any of our standard range of 13 house colours. We complement our handcrafted metal beds with a collection of natural mattresses that are all made by hand in Devon by our sister company, Naturalmat. The mattresses are a perfect fit for our beds, and cover all budgets.
Our mattresses are made by hand in a solar-powered Devon workshop with natural & organic fibres. Better for you, and the planet.
