The Cornish Bed Company began hand casting traditional cast iron bed frames back in the 1990s. We use traditional casting techniques, quality materials, and gravity cast fixings to create beds that are indistinguishable from original Victorian antique iron beds.

You can order an iron bed in any of our 13 colour options. We cast our iron beds to exacting standards using time-honoured skills and craftsmanship. We are the only company that still uses the authentic and traditional method of Knuckle Joint Fixings. These keep the iron bed sturdy and increase the frames' strength over time, giving the customer reassurance of a lifetime guarantee. In Par, a small historic Cornish town close to St Austell, The Cornish Bed Co is one of the last foundries to hand cast iron beds using the traditional methods.
Our process
Hand crafted by our skilled craftsmen in Cornwall, these beds are manufactured using traditional Victorian casting techniques and feature Victorian cast knuckle fixings, promising a lifetime guarantee. The zinc is hand poured at temperatures exceeding 500°C and the cast knuckle joints with individual numbering make every bed unique.
