The Rebecca, Victorian white bedstead is both ornate in design but yet simple in overall style. Its architecture fits not only into a traditional home but also a contemporary setting. Offering 1 ¼ “posts which set the stage for a highly sophisticated bedstead.

The cast-in top rail, unique to Rebecca sets this slim silhouetted bed design apart. We handmake each bed to order, allowing you the flexibility to modify the design (small fee may apply) to suit your style. @CutterBrooksShop wanted their top rail to be in brass, as you see done in the photos below, where the cast-in painted top rail has been replaced with a brass rail to match the solid brass ball caps.

The Rebecca can be manufactured as a bedstead, bed surround, headboard, or as a bedstead with no foot end, or in a four-poster option. You can order your Rebecca in any of our 13 colour options or in any colour not shown for an extra £100. We cast our beds to exacting standards using time-honoured skills and craftsmanship.
Every bed is made individually to order, numbered, and signed off by one of our craftsmen. With The Cornish Bed Company, you can be confident that your bedstead will last lifetimes and will become an antique in the future.
All our cast iron, brass and nickel beds, including our four posters are available in the nine standard UK mattress sizes. As we craft our beds to order, just for you, so we can customise the size of your bed as required.

The actual footprint of the bed varies by design and is slightly larger than the standard UK mattress size, so please do measure your room to ensure enough clearance is available and refer to the table below for overall width and length of your chosen design.

Headend and Footend heights are measured from floor to the top of the ball caps. Standard under bed clearance is 30cm.

COLOURS
All our cast beds and daybeds are powder coated in the foundry by us, for a long lasting and robust finish in any of our standard range of house colours below. If you do not see a colour that fits, please contact our sales team on 01726 825 182 to discuss our custom colour service.

We complement our beds with a collection of mattresses that are all made by hand in Devon by our parent company, Naturalmat. The mattresses are a perfect fit for our beds, and cover all budgets.
