Offering 2” side posts, exceptional strong framework including our signature knuckle joint which is everlasting.
The bedstead is then softened with white crackle finish ceramics which are hand-spun into its brass fixing with an ornate lower brass petal.
The Abingdon is a fine example of a victorian metal bed frame and can be manufactured as a bedstead, bed surround, headboard, four-poster bed, or as a bedstead with no foot end. You can order your Abingdon in any of our house metal colour options or in any colour not shown starting from an extra £100. If you would like to swap brass details for nickel on your bed, our team would be happy to personalise it for you starting from an extra £100, depending on design and brass elements included. We cast our beds to exacting standards using time-honoured skills and craftsmanship.
Hand cast at our Cornwall foundry and made with all the traditional fixings you would expect from an authentic re-production.
Cornish beds are handmade in four standard sizes; single 3ft (90cm wide), double 4'6" (135cm wide), king size 5ft (150cm wide) and super king size 6ft (180cm wide).
The standard lengths for single and double bed is 6'3" king size and super king size beds are 6'6" in length.

Metal Colours
All our cast beds, daybeds, benches, footstools and headboards are powder coated in the foundry by us, for a long lasting and robust finish in any of our standard range of 13 house colours. Natural Mattresses
We complement our handcrafted metal beds with a collection of natural mattresses that are all made by hand in Devon by our sister company, Naturalmat. The mattresses are a perfect fit for our beds, and cover all budgets.
Our mattresses are made by hand in a solar-powered Devon workshop with natural & organic fibres. Better for you, and the planet.
