Mattress Size Guide
All our mattresses and bed sizes are standard UK bed sizes as specified by the National Bed Federation.
We’ve all heard of the saying "you can’t make a pancake bigger than the pan." The same principle applies to mattresses. You need to measure your bed, and then purchase a mattress that is at least as long as your bed plus an inch or two.
There are a few things to keep in mind when purchasing a mattress, whether it's for a single bed, double bed or a superking size bed.
- First, you want to keep in mind the size of your bed - the mattress dimensions should align with the size of your bed frame. This is not always an easy thing to do, as many beds and mattresses are not standard sizes so always measure your bed frame accurately before making a decision.
- Second, you want to know whether or not your mattress will need a box spring or if it will be OK on just the slats that go from headboard to footboard for support instead. You may need a box spring if you intend on getting a larger mattress or one that is heavier than your current mattress.
